Job Description: Bakery / Deli Prep Chef

Located in the heart of Pleasure Point, Original Sin Desserts is a Bakery Café with a commitment to providing our customers with delicious sweet and savory selections. We make our food from scratch using all natural, and often local, organic ingredients. Our pride in our food shows, and we work hard to give our customers great quality at an affordable price. We are looking for enthusiastic and hard working people to join our team. Bakery Café experience is not required, but a positive attitude is mandatory.

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist Executive Chef and Sous chefs in all aspects of bakery and deli food preparation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Bakery ingredient prep: measuring, sifting, stirring, etc.
• Deli ingredient prep: washing, chopping/slicing, etc.
• Dishwashing: operate dishwasher and manually items as needed in 3-compartment sink
• Miscellaneous: Fold boxes, package to-go deli & bakery orders, stock deli and pastry cases, etc.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED
• Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years work experience, preferably in food service
• Skills Required:
  • Must have positive attitude, integrity, and strong work ethic
  • Must read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
